TTPI missionaries, Steve and Rissa Curtis, served at the Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary extension center in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, in Borneo. This is technically “East Malaysia,” but is so far removed (culturally and politically) from peninsular Malaysia as to have the feel of a separate country altogether. Steve taught a class entitled, "Teaching for Discipleship," while Rissa interpreted for him. The students in these classes were pastors from both the Malaysian and Indonesian parts of Borneo.
